Miami-Dade County Commissioners approved the first amendment to a land exchange agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies the original agreement, which involved the exchange of two parcels of land. The County is conveying 48,456 square feet (portion of Folio No. 01-3135-061-0010) to the College, and the College is conveying 48,102 square feet (portion of Folio No. 01-3135-106-0010) to the County for use by the Public Health Trust. Key changes include removing the closing condition requiring the Public Health Trust to obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM for environmental remediation, modifying environmental remediation provisions, adjusting the closing date definition, and establishing post-closing cooperation for information exchange. The purpose is to facilitate the closing so the College Parcel can support the Public Health Trust's new Emergency Department project with additional parking.
