RESOLUTION APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT TO LAND EXCHANGE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved the first amendment to a land exchange agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies terms related to environmental remediation and closing dates for the exchange of two parcels. The College Parcel (Folio No. 01-3135-106-0010, 48,102 sq ft) is conveyed to the County for use by the Public Health Trust for its Emergency Department Expansion Project. In exchange, the County conveys the County Parcel (Folio No. 01-3135-061-0010, 48,456 sq ft) to the College. Key changes include removing the requirement for the Public Health Trust to obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM as a closing condition, modifying environmental remediation provisions, and adjusting the closing date definition. The amendment also requires post-closing cooperation on information exchange regarding pre-closing environmental remediation and replat efforts.
