Miami-Dade County Commissioners approved a Tri-Party Railroad Reimbursement Agreement for the installation and upgrade of railroad crossing traffic control devices at NW 30th Avenue between NW 22nd Street and NW 23rd Terrace (Crossing No. 628404J). The project involves replacing and modernizing signal safety equipment, including gates, flashing signals, and control systems. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will fully reimburse the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) for installation costs through federal funds. Miami-Dade County will assume ongoing responsibilities, including approximately 50 percent of annual signal maintenance costs and financial responsibility for future reconstruction or modifications. The agreement was recommended by the Transportation Committee and adopted by the County Commission.
