REMOVING ROW DESIGNATION NW 9 AVENUE AND BOB HOPE ROAD

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to remove the public road right-of-way designation from a portion of county-owned property at the intersection of NW 9 Avenue and Bob Hope Road, south of NW 15 Street. This action is requested by the Department of Transportation and Public Works to enable the sale of the land to the University of Miami for future development. The property was originally designated as right-of-way in 1979. A separate road closing petition for the adjacent NW 9 Avenue is also pending with the City of Miami. The Transportation Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation. The BCC is scheduled to consider this item on July 21, 2026.
