Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance on first reading on 4/21/2026, to expand the SMART Corridor Subzone of the Rapid Transit Zone. The expansion includes private property located at 2640 SW 28 Lane (Folio Number 01-4115-008-3250), which is within a quarter mile of the Coconut Grove Metrorail Station. This action places the property under the County's exclusive regulatory jurisdiction. The ordinance was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation by the Transportation Committee on 6/9/2026. The final action date is pending BCC assignment.
