Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to authorize a designated purchase for Contract No. BW-10026, "Transit Performance Analysis Software." The software is provided exclusively by Swiftly, Inc. and is used by the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) for transit performance analytics and real-time operational data. The extension is necessary to ensure continuity of services while DTPW procures and implements a replacement for its Transit CAD/AVL system, which is expected to incorporate the software's functionality. Competition is deemed not practicable due to the proprietary nature of the software. The Transportation Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on June 9, 2026. A Request to Advertise for the replacement system is anticipated in late 2026.
