TRANSIT PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS SOFTWARE
Transportation Cmte · 2026-06-09 · resolution
Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to authorize a designated purchase for Transit Performance Analysis Software (Contract No. BW-10026). This action seeks to extend the contract term by five years, through August 31, 2031, and add $5,307,410 in expenditure authority, bringing the total modified contract value to $10,031,578. The software is provided exclusively by Swiftly, Inc. and is critical for the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) for real-time transit operations analysis, on-time performance monitoring, and customer information. This extension is necessary to ensure continuity of services while DTPW procures and implements a replacement for its aging Transit Computer Aided Dispatch and Automated Vehicle Locator (CAD/AVL) system, which is expected to incorporate the software's functionality. A competitive replacement for the software is anticipated in late 2026. The BCC previously approved an extension on July 6, 2023 (Resolution No. R-644-23) and the initial contract was awarded on January 22, 2020 (Resolution No. R-38-20). Public comment is not stated in this document. The Transportation Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on June 9, 2026.
