Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering awarding professional services agreements for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for federally and state funded projects. The proposed award is to AECOM Technical Services, Inc., BCC Engineering, LLC, EAC Consulting, Inc., and HNTB Corporation for a total amount not to exceed $22,000,000.00 for a five-year term. These agreements are capacity-based, multi-award contracts where firms may receive Work Orders on an as-needed basis, with no guaranteed minimum work. The services will support the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) in administering, monitoring, and inspecting construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, manage project risks, and leverage specialized engineering expertise. Thirteen proposals were received, and the four highest-ranked firms were recommended for award. The contracts are countywide in nature and will be funded through various sources including FTA, FDOT, Operating Fund, People's Transportation Plan Bond Program, and Mobility Impact Fees.
