Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to a professional services agreement with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. The agreement seeks to increase the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83 to a total of $8,252,721.83 and extend the contract term by 270 calendar days to a total of 1,654 calendar days. This increase is to ensure continuous and adequate construction oversight due to an expanded scope and extended schedule, including enhanced quality assurance, increased inspection for added project elements like Wi-Fi and amenities, and extended oversight due to schedule impacts. The project is a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor beneath the Metrorail system. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation.
