CEI SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE UNDERLINE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. The agreement, with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., seeks to increase the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83 to a total of $8,252,721.83 and extend the contract term by 270 days to a total of 1,654 non-compensable calendar days. This increase is necessary to ensure continuous and adequate construction oversight due to an expanded scope and extended schedule of the design-build contract, which incorporates community-driven enhancements, safety improvements, and additional amenities. The additional CEI services will support enhanced quality assurance, increased inspection and coordination for added project elements, and extended construction oversight. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on 7/14/2026.
