Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to approve Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. This agreement, with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., increases the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83 to a total of $8,252,721.83 and extends the contract term by 270 days to a total of 1,654 calendar days. The extension is to ensure continuous and adequate construction oversight due to an expanded scope and extended schedule, including enhanced quality assurance, increased inspection for added project elements like Wi-Fi and amenities, and extended oversight due to schedule impacts. The project is a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor beneath the Metrorail system.
