CEI SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE UNDERLINE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to a professional services agreement with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. The agreement seeks to increase the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83, bringing the total to $8,252,721.83, and extend the contract term by 270 calendar days, for a total of 1,654 calendar days. This increase is to ensure continuous and adequate construction oversight due to an expanded scope and extended schedule, including enhanced quality assurance with a dedicated materials laboratory, increased inspection and coordination for added project elements like Wi-Fi and amenities, and extended oversight due to schedule impacts. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. The project is a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor beneath the Metrorail system.
