Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. This agreement, with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., seeks to increase the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83 to a total of $8,252,721.83 and extend the contract term by 270 non-compensable calendar days to a total of 1,654 days. The increase is to ensure continuous and adequate construction oversight due to an expanded scope and extended schedule of the design-build contract, incorporating community-driven enhancements, safety improvements, and additional amenities. The Transportation Committee forwarded this item with a favorable recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners. The original CEI contract was approved on April 4, 2023, for a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor project.
