Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering approving the award of Professional Services Agreements (PSAs) for General Engineering Consultants to CHA Consulting, Inc. and Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. The agreements, totaling not to exceed $28,600,000, will provide a wide range of engineering, surveying, architectural, landscaping, technical, management, and administrative services for projects within the Five-Year Implementation Plan of the People's Transportation Plan, including transit facility and park-and-ride improvements. The term of the agreements is five years with a two-year option to renew. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. Six proposals were received, and the Competitive Selection Committee decided to forego Second Tier proceedings. The agreements are countywide in nature and will utilize Charter County Surtax Funds, Mobility Impact Fees, Secondary Gas Tax, Quality Neighborhoods Improvement Program, Stormwater Utility, and Operating Funds. Applicable measures include Small Business Enterprise - Architecture and Engineering, Sea Level Rise Ordinance, Sustainable Buildings Measure, Local Certified Veteran Business Enterprise Preference Code, Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act, and Office of Inspector General Fee.
