Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Doral for on-demand transportation services. The agreement, effective retroactively to December 23, 2025, authorizes the use of the City of Doral's municipal share of Charter County Transportation System Surtax proceeds for the operation and maintenance of these services. The City of Doral has been operating this service since April 2024, utilizing four Tesla Model X vehicles provided by Freebee. The service aims to enhance local mobility by connecting residents to key destinations within a five-mile radius and complementing existing DTPW bus routes. The agreement has a five-year term with two five-year renewal options and has no fiscal impact on Miami-Dade County. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners.
