Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Doral for on-demand transportation services. The agreement, effective retroactively to December 23, 2025, will utilize the City of Doral's municipal share of Charter County Transportation System Surtax proceeds for operations and maintenance. The service, which began in April 2024 and is operated by Freebee using four Tesla Model X vehicles, provides stop-to-stop on-demand transit within and around Doral, connecting residents to key destinations up to five miles away. The agreement has a five-year term with two five-year renewal options. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation.
