MOU WITH FDOT FOR COUNTER SYSTEMS ON COUNTY OWNED TRAILS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to ratify a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the installation and maintenance of two counter systems on county-owned trails within the Florida Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail Network. FDOT will fund and maintain the hardware, while the County will approve locations and coordinate scheduling. The MOA has a term from September 24, 2025, to September 23, 2026. The Board is also asked to delegate authority to the County Mayor or designee to enter into future similar agreements with FDOT for additional counter systems, provided they have no negative fiscal impact on the County. The Transportation Committee forwarded this item with a favorable recommendation.
