OFF-SYSTEM AGREEMENT FOR LOCAL ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to approve an Off-System Construction and Maintenance Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for local roadway improvements on SR 934/NW 74th Street Connector from west of NW 77th Court to east of Red Road. The project, which includes work on NW 74th Street Connector and NW 72nd Avenue, involves reconstruction of sidewalks, curb ramps, curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing, widening, striping, traffic separators, loops, and signage. FDOT will fund and build the project, estimated at $5,900,000, with an anticipated construction start date of March 2027. Miami-Dade County will be responsible for maintenance operations upon project completion, funded through the DTPW General Fund. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation.
