OFF-SYSTEM AGREEMENT FOR LOCAL ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is set to approve an Off-System Construction and Maintenance Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for local roadway improvements. The project, identified as Project No. FM452566-1-52-01, involves improvements to SR 934/NW 74th Street Connector from west of NW 77th Court to east of Red Road, including work on NW 74th Street Connector and NW 72nd Avenue. Specific improvements include reconstruction of sidewalks, curb ramps, curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing, widening, striping, traffic separators, loops, and signage. The project is estimated to cost $5,900,000 and will be funded and built by FDOT. The anticipated construction start date is March 2027. Miami-Dade County will be responsible for maintenance operations upon project completion, funded through DTPW's General Fund allocation. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation.
