Broward County is planning to amend agreements with service providers. These changes will update program outcome measures and add mental health services to street outreach programs. The goal is to better serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness and comply with new laws. These amendments are effective October 1, 2025, and will not increase costs for Broward County. The Human Services Department Director can approve modifications if they do not significantly change the scope of work and are in the County's best interest. This process involves legal review by the County Attorney's Office. Service providers and related businesses that offer mental health services, outreach programs, or administrative support for grant-funded agreements may find opportunities. Early engagement before final agreements are settled could be advantageous.
