The Board of County Commissioners of Charlotte County met to review several upcoming projects. Potential opportunities for local contractors, trades, suppliers, and service providers include the construction of new civic buildings near US-41 and Harborview Road, and near Tamiami Trail and County Road 771. Other projects under review involve a new church building at 1400 Tamiami Trail, residential developments near US-41 and Harborview Road, and near State Road 776 and County Road 771, as well as waterfront repairs in Port Charlotte and a landfill operations building at Zemel Road. Utility upgrades at Burnt Store PowerFlex Drive and bank stabilization at Indian Springs Cemetery are also planned.
