The Crystal River Airport is planning a fuel tank replacement project. This project involves removing two existing 12,500-gallon fuel tanks and installing two new 12,000-gallon aboveground tanks, one for Jet-A and one for AvGas. The work will also include a new truck load and offload station and a self-serve fueling station. The project is currently under review, with bids having come in higher than budgeted and discussions ongoing for additional funding. Construction is expected to begin after a pre-construction meeting in July, with a new completion date set for January 2027. This project will require site preparation, underground utility work, concrete work for the containment area, installation of the new tanks and fueling stations, and electrical work for the fueling systems.
