The City of Destin's Harbor CRA Advisory Committee is reviewing several potential projects and improvements within the Harbor District. These include the Crosstown Connector extension along Azalea, Stahlman Avenue/Highway 98 intersection improvements, an under-the-bridge pathway, Harbor Boardwalk Safety Improvements, Zerbe Street parking improvements, and a Marler Street parking deck concept. Additionally, a new minor development order application has been submitted for a proposed dental office at 865 Harbor Boulevard, which is currently in completeness review. These items are under review and represent early-stage planning, with the committee seeking partnerships and alternate funding sources to advance these projects. The scope of work could involve site clearing, grading, utility work, paving, construction of parking facilities, and safety enhancements. Local contractors, trades, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early to understand these potential projects as plans develop, before bids and permits are finalized, to best position themselves for future opportunities.
