City Commission Regular Meeting
City Commission Regular Meeting · 2026-05-19 · meeting
The City Commission of Fort Lauderdale met to discuss various planned and under-review matters. Several potential local business opportunities were identified. These include a mixed-use development project at Federal Highway and Sunrise Boulevard, requiring site preparation, utility installation, concrete, paving, framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and landscaping. Another mixed-use development is planned for 1000 NW 1st Ave, also offering work in similar trades. Additionally, seawall replacement at Sebastian and Seville, and street light improvements on NE 4 Avenue, will require marine construction, concrete, paving, and electrical contractors. The city is also creating a pre-qualified vendor list for general and specialty trade contractors.
