Transportation, Energy & Utilities Committee
Transportation, Energy & Utilities Committee · 2026-06-12 · meeting
The Transportation, Energy & Utilities Committee of the City of Jacksonville met to discuss upcoming projects and proposals. Several local business opportunities were identified. These include potential work for land clearing and grading crews, civil engineers, surveyors, utility contractors, concrete and paving companies, framers, roofers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, and landscapers for a new development at 1522 Girvin Road. Additionally, opportunities exist for demolition, environmental cleanup, and site preparation contractors related to the Downtown East Apartments project. Funding for affordable housing development and park invasive species removal may also create future work for local trades and suppliers.
