The program offers potential reduction for Mobility Fees, Park & Recreation Impact Fees, Development Review Fees, and Police and Fire Impact Fees. Fees from outside agencies are not eligible. Benefits are granted based on fund availability, project specifications, and contribution to the City's long-term vision for affordable housing. Income levels for eligibility are defined as Extremely Low (up to 30% AMI), Very Low (up to 50% AMI), Low (up to 80% AMI), and Moderate (up to 120% AMI). Incentives may include reimbursements, waivers, or deferrals. Applicants must file an Affordable Housing Incentive Application, providing details on the property, proposed use, affordability period, funding sources, and requested benefit. Projects must maintain affordability for a minimum of 20 years. The application is for the 'Affordable Housing Impact Fee Program_DRAFT25'. Item 7.A, Staff Comments and Updates, addresses Proposed Changes to the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) - Staff Initiated. Staff has identified the need to amend certain provisions to prevent confusion during implementation and future audits by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC).
