The City of Ocoee is planning the Lakewood Avenue North Gravity Sewer Project, which includes two phases. Phase 1 is funded by an EPA Federal Grant, and both phases have a combined budget of over $5.3 million. This project involves installing new gravity sewer lines, replacing existing sewer pipes, and constructing sewer manholes. It also includes work on sanitary service connections, initial and final pavement, concrete work, and pipe bedding. Phase 2 will also involve replacing and installing water mains, including ductile iron and PVC pipes, as well as water valves, service connections, and fire hydrants. The project is currently in the bidding phase, with bids having been received on March 31, 2026. This early stage presents an opportunity for contractors, suppliers, and service providers to engage before final plans and permits are settled. The scope includes site preparation, underground utility work, paving, and potentially demolition and restoration, offering work for general contractors, utility contractors, concrete and paving specialists, and suppliers of construction materials.
