The City Council approved the award of a contract for construction management, engineering, and inspection services for the Legion Field to Global Learning Academy sidewalk connection project. Mehta and Associates, Inc. of Pensacola, Florida, was awarded RFQ No. 26-008. The City Council also approved the disposition of real property at 1015 North E Street, formerly the Alice S. Williams Library, by authorizing disposition via Request for Proposal (RFP) for lease and awarding RFP No. 26-004 to Community Action Program Committee, Inc. (CAPC). Public input was heard regarding the sidewalk project and the interlocal agreement amendment, with concerns raised about FDOT requirements and the legality of the agreement. A proposed ordinance repealing Section 4-3-66 of the City Code regarding corrugated cardboard was adopted. The City Council also approved participation in an Opioid Litigation settlement.
