The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department is planning improvements to the gyms at the Cobb and Fricker resource centers. While the basketball courts themselves are not being replaced, the gyms will undergo new improvements. The Fricker Resource Center will close temporarily for these improvements after the current after-school program ends for the school year. This project is currently under review. The scope of work will likely involve interior renovations and upgrades to the gym facilities. This could include site preparation, potential utility work, and interior construction and finishing trades. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early to understand the project details as plans develop. Early engagement can provide an advantage before bid processes and permits are finalized.
