b. Stormwater Projects Update

The City of Port Orange is moving forward with several stormwater and infrastructure projects. The Cambridge Pump Station Project is in the bidding phase, with bids due soon and an award expected in June. Construction is planned to begin later this summer. The Sugar Forest Drainage Project is nearing sixty percent design completion, with state permit applications to follow. Funding for this project will come from the City's Fund Balance. The Portona and Powers Avenue Improvements, part of Transform 386, have finalized their design scope and will enter the design phase this summer. Additionally, thirteen homes are undergoing an elevation process funded by a FEMA Grant, with completion anticipated in 2027. These projects will involve site preparation, utility work, and construction. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers should engage with the City of Port Orange early to understand the scope and timing of these upcoming infrastructure improvements.
