Planning Commission · 2026-05-05 · minutes

The Rockledge Planning Commission met on May 5, 2026, and reviewed several applications for annexation, comprehensive plan amendments, and zoning designations. All applications were recommended for approval to the City Council. Two primary development projects were discussed: one involving approximately 0.11+/- acres at 3795 Flypark Drive, Unit 1-3, and another involving approximately 0.04+/- acres at 3789 Flypark Drive, Unit U-4. Both projects involved voluntary annexation, revision of the Future Land Use Map to Industrial (IND) in Planning District 7, and designation of Zoning Classification M2 – Light Industrial and Warehousing District. The applicants intend to continue existing uses, with no anticipated increase in impacts to traffic, stormwater, or public services. Connection to the City's sanitary sewer system will be required at the applicant's expense when deemed necessary. Public hearings were held for each item, and no public comment was received. All motions to recommend approval passed unanimously with a 5-0 vote.
