The West Melbourne-Brevard County Joint Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is holding a meeting on May 19, 2026, to discuss the FY 2026-2027 CRA Budget and Work Plan. The recommendation is to approve the proposed budget and work plan for submission to the West Melbourne City Council and the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners. The proposed FY 2026-2027 appropriations total $5,200, a significant decrease from the previous year's $2,014,950. The work plan includes filing a DEO annual report, participating in FRA activities, paying for an independent financial audit, making a pledged payment to the Ellis Road corridor project, and paying for utility infrastructure improvements related to the Ellis Road corridor project. The CRA's interlocal agreement with the City and County expires on September 30, 2038. The CRA has previously contributed to the Ellis Road widening project and utility relocation. Future CRA participation may be considered for additional infrastructure and corridor enhancements.
