The City of Winter Park Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is offering a Catalyst Development Program (CDP) to support redevelopment projects that create economic benefits. This program can provide financial incentives, such as forgivable or low-interest loans, up to $500,000 per project. To be considered, businesses must be located within the CRA district, create a minimum number of new jobs, and have a total development cost of at least $10 million on a minimum of 1 acre. The program aims to encourage high-quality, mixed-use development and address market gaps. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and early participation may offer the greatest financial benefit. This initiative is currently under review and could lead to significant construction and infrastructure work, including site preparation, utility connections, and building construction, depending on the approved projects. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early to understand potential project scopes and prepare competitive bids, as all approved applicants are required to obtain three bids for proposed work.
