The City of Winter Park Golf Course Advisory Board is considering a plan to experiment with different rates of Primo® and Anuew™ growth regulators. These regulators are intended to control vertical growth during the growing season. The typical starting rates are 2 ounces per acre for Primo and 4 ounces per acre for Anuew, with adjustments made as needed. In some cases, only Primo is used, applied at lower rates twice weekly. This initiative aims to improve the quality of the golf course greens. The item is currently under review by the advisory board. This project could involve site preparation for application, the purchase and supply of specialized chemicals, and potentially application services.
