The City of Winter Park's Golf Course Advisory Board is reviewing ongoing course condition updates. Staff is currently applying sand, aerating turf, and conducting targeted spot treatments for weeds, nematodes, and mole crickets. Repairs to stormwater drains are underway at Hole 12 and the tee box on Hole 13, with a temporary green in use. Irrigation repairs are complete on Tee Box 1. A bunker project is planned to take approximately 10 days, including verticutting, top dressing, and tree work. Operations will move to a new maintenance facility near Hole 4, followed by landscaping. There is consideration for redesigning select tee boxes, including Hole 7. A more aggressive mowing and maintenance approach will be implemented this growing season. This ongoing work involves site preparation, turf management, drainage, and facility relocation, offering opportunities for contractors specializing in landscaping, irrigation, pest control, and general course maintenance. Early engagement before final plans are set could be advantageous.
