Board of Adjustments Meeting Minutes from June 25th to be adopted
Planning & Zoning / Board of Adjust. · 2026-07-23 · minutes
The Board of Adjustments approved Special Exception SE260404 for a 250-foot self-support communication tower at 1663 SW Carpenter Road, in an AG-zoned area, on a 100x100 lease area, accommodating up to four wireless carriers with T-Mobile as anchor. The applicant was James Johnston, agent for Shutts & Bowen LLP, for landowner Nettie K. Gucker. The decision was unanimous, with a condition that the county be notified 60 days prior to any sale/transfer. Public comment included Jeff Todd supporting the tower due to poor cell service, and no one spoke against it. The meeting also approved previous minutes and discussed signage and meeting schedule adjustments.
