The Jackson County Museum and Dozier Memorial Park project is planned for Marianna, Florida. This project aims to create a cultural and historical preservation site by integrating an indoor museum, an outdoor memorial park, and community gathering spaces. The museum will feature exhibits on ecological history, agriculture, the Dozier School for Boys, military history, and significant people and places. The memorial park will include walking trails and interpretive signage. This plan is the result of a community-driven process and is currently under review. The project will likely involve site preparation, construction of museum buildings and park features, exhibit installation, and landscaping. Local contractors, trades, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early in the process as site plans, bids, and permits are developed to understand potential opportunities.
