The Carver Heights / Montclair Area CRA is reviewing future goals and potential projects. One item under consideration involves enhancing park security with additional cameras in Berry Park. Another proposal suggests installing bilingual electronic message boards at various locations, including Montclair, CR 468, Woodland Park, and Carver Heights, to improve information dissemination to residents. The area also has existing sidewalks on streets like Tuskegee Street, Harlem Avenue, and Waitman that may require maintenance. Additionally, there is interest in developing a multipurpose community center in Carver Heights, potentially located off Carver Drive, at the Bradford Avenue and McCormack Street lots, or at the former Dabney swimming pool site. A basketball court at Berry Park and speed humps on Simmons Avenue are also being discussed. These items are currently under review as part of future planning and budget considerations. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers in areas such as site preparation, electrical work, general construction, and landscaping may find opportunities as these plans develop. Engaging early in the review process before final plans and permits are established can provide a competitive advantage.
