Resolution authorizing additional expenditure authority of $16,004,764.00 for Contract No. X027A, Building Management System (BMS), for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD), bringing the total modified cumulative contract amount to $178,238,373.00. The contract is with Honeywell International, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer of the County's existing BMS. The additional funds are needed for unexpected maintenance and repair costs due to aging infrastructure, obsolete control systems, maintenance of newly added/renovated airport spaces and recently acquired facilities, and compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements. The contract was awarded on November 7, 2017, via Resolution No. R-980-17 for a 10-year term with one five-year option to renew, valued at $112,023,768 for the current term.
