The Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance establishing the San Diego Villas Community Development District (CDD). This CDD is generally bounded by SW 355 Street (north), SW 189 Avenue (east), SW 358 Street (south), and SW 192 Avenue/Tower Road (west). The development is a 23.09-acre residential project by Lennar Homes, LLC., that will include 271 villa units, roadway improvements, stormwater management, wastewater collection, and water distribution systems, with an estimated cost of $16.055 million. The CDD will provide a financing mechanism for these community infrastructure and services. The public hearing had no attendees wishing to speak. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on April 21, 2026, and finally adopted on June 2, 2026.
