Resolution R-537-26, File Number 260991, adopted by the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners on 6/16/2026, ratifies Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. S-16094 between Miami-Dade County and Magnum Construction Management, LLC for the construction of the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant (CDWWTP) New Materials Management Building and Storage Areas. The change order grants a 51-day non-compensable time extension, revising the Substantial Completion date from March 21, 2026 to May 11, 2026 and the Final Completion date from April 20, 2026 to June 10, 2026. The project is located at WASD's CDWWTP in Commission District 7. The total contract award was $28,095,287.50 with a Contingency Allowance of $1,987,250.00. The new building will provide 3,525 square feet of office space, warehousing, receiving areas, a second-floor storage area, and two outdoor storage canopies. The project includes replacement of an existing storage building and warehouse to meet sea level rise guidelines and expansion to accommodate over 6,000 parts. The new facility will allow demolition of the existing storage building to make room for a new LEED Silver Certified Electrical Distribution Building No. 3. The change order has no additional fiscal impact. The time extension was due to a delay in obtaining the Class VI Permit, which caused a Stop Work Order from March 3, 2025 to April 18, 2025. The contractor remobilized on April 23, 2025. The contract was awarded on October 3, 2024, ratified by the Board on June 26, 2025 via Resolution No. R-615-25, and the Notice to Proceed was issued on January 20, 2025.
