Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-485-26 on June 2, 2026, authorizing a three-year extension for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-00867, which provides Emergency Push & Clear and Debris Removal Services for multiple county departments. This extension is time-only and does not request additional expenditure authority. The pool, originally established in 2018 with a cumulative allocation of $330,500,000, covers services such as pushing, clearing, and hauling debris, stump removal, and hazardous tree/limb removal. The extension aims to maintain access to prequalified vendors for rapid mobilization during declared emergencies, ensuring public safety and timely restoration of county facilities. Any contract award under the pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, requires ratification by the Board. Currently, there are 12 active prequalified vendors, nine with local addresses. Due diligence was performed on all vendors, with two vendors noted for ongoing litigation (one with a proposed settlement) and two others with prior resolved litigation, none of which adversely impacted the pool. The primary users are the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department and the Department of Transportation and Public Works, with other departments also having access.
