Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-490-26, authorizing an extension of five years and an additional $17,600,000.00 in expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. EVN0043091 (also referenced as RTQ-01468), for OEM Repair and Service for Fire Rescue Equipment. This brings the total modified cumulative pool amount to $36,202,842.00. The extension is for the Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR). The pool was initially established on January 20, 2021, for a five-year term. Any contract award under the pool exceeding $5,000,000.00, or $1,500,000.00 for MDAD, requires ratification by the Board. The extension aims to continue procuring OEM parts and services for fire suppression, construction, and heavy-duty motor vehicles, minimizing downtime and maintaining warranties. The pool remains open, and additional qualified vendors may be added. Due diligence was performed on prequalified vendors with no adverse findings. The two percent User Access Program applies where permitted, and Small Business Enterprise measures and Local Preference will be applied at the time of spot market competition.
