Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance amending the boundaries of the Ojus Sanitary Sewer Special Benefit Area (OSSSBA) by adding one property and ratifying the non-ad valorem assessment roll, rates, and assessments for the fiscal year 2026-2027. The total assessment for the special benefit, including financing charges, is $21,223,217.00 over 28 years. The annual assessment for the newly added parcel is $0.5656 per square foot. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on April 21, 2026, forwarded by the Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee with a favorable recommendation on May 13, 2026, and finally adopted by the County Commission on June 2, 2026. Public hearings were held, but no one came forward to speak.
