Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) as part of a pool of architectural and engineering consultants. PSI will provide professional construction materials testing services for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department at Miami International Airport. This is one of five such agreements, with a combined maximum amount of $41,353,125.00 for a five-year term with a five-year renewal option. The services include construction material testing, asphalt and concrete testing, geotechnical exploration, soil and foundation testing, materials testing, and roof testing. The work is part of a broader $12 billion modernization effort at MIA, encompassing various capital projects like terminals, concourses, and runways. No minimum work is guaranteed to any single firm, and work will be assigned rotationally.
