Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 93-5 to allow the Coventry Security Guard Special Taxing District to use license plate readers or other updated visitor management technology to document visitor vehicles entering and exiting the district. The amendment also specifies the location of the guardhouse as N.E. 198th Terrace, west of N.E. 18th Avenue, and notes that construction of the guardhouse and installation of gates are capital improvements to be furnished by the homeowners association. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on May 5, 2026, and finally adopted on June 2, 2026.
