An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 93-5 to allow the Coventry Security Guard Special Taxing District to use license plate readers or other updated visitor management technology to document visitor vehicles entering and exiting the district. The improvements may include installation and operation of this technology adjacent to guardhouses. The original ordinance established a safety and sentinel security service with an unarmed uniformed guard, potentially upgraded to off-duty police officers, operating from a guardhouse. The guardhouse is located on N.E. 198th Terrace, west of N.E. 18th Avenue. Construction of the guardhouse and installation of gates are capital improvements to be furnished by the homeowners association.
