STD AMENDING ORDINANCE 95-77 ENCHANTED LAKES

Miami-Dade County adopted an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 95-77, which relates to the Enchanted Lake Security Guard Special Taxing District. The amendment allows for the use of license plate readers or other updated visitor management technology to document visitor vehicles entering and exiting the district. The ordinance also specifies the locations for two guardhouses and identifies roads to be permanently closed to vehicular access. The first guardhouse will be on N.E. 192nd Street, east of N.E. 22nd Avenue, and the second on N.E. 23rd Avenue, south of N.E. 199 Street. The roads to be closed are N.E. 197th Street at N.E. 22nd Avenue, N.E. 197th Street at N.E. 24th Avenue, and N.E. 199th Street. Capital improvements include reconstruction of N.E. 192nd Street and N.E. 23rd Avenue, construction of guardhouses, and installation of gates and barricades. The public hearing had no attendees wishing to speak. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on 5/5/2026 and finally adopted on 6/2/2026.
