Resolution authorizing additional expenditure authority of $1,901,390.00 for a total modified contract amount of $16,558,190.00 for Contract No. FB-00446, Towing Services, for the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) and the People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD). The contract expires on March 31, 2027. The additional allocation covers increased towing requests and costs for County vehicles, including sedans, trucks, mobile equipment, and buses. DTPW requests $1,247,500 for ongoing needs, including expanded transit operations for the South Corridor TransitWay and the planned November 2026 opening of the South Dade Transit Operations Center (SDTOC), which will house 100 articulated electric buses. PIOD requests $653,890 due to a 16% average annual increase in tows and a 29% increase in prices per tow since 2022. The contract includes four groups: Group A (All County Departments except DTPW Buses Only and RER Disposals), Group B (DTPW Buses Only), Group C (RER Only for North and South Zones), and Group D (Prequalification Pool to Quote Specialized Tows).
