Resolution adopted on 6/16/2026 ratifying the County Mayor's actions to apply for, receive, and expend $627,835.00 from the Fiscal Year 2025 Transit Security Grant Program of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency. The grant supports security training exercises led by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, in coordination with the Department of Transportation and Public Works, to enhance safety and resilience of the County's transportation system. No local match is required. Period of performance is September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2028. The grant agreement was executed on November 21, 2025. The grant will support countywide services. The grant will be monitored by Mia Marin, DTPW Grants Manager. The County applied for the grant on August 15, 2025.
